The Saddlebag Lake Loop is a well-loved hiking trail that circumnavigates the lake, with stunning views and access to several high alpine meadows and additional lakes. The loop is approximately 7 miles long and can be extended with side trips to lakes like Greenstone Lake and Steelhead Lake. This trail is relatively easy, making it accessible for most hikers, though the high elevation can add an extra challenge. In the winter, the area is typically covered in snow, which can limit access but also provides opportunities for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.
